Explainers!

Explainers are very popular these days in news coverages across many platforms. We started even seeing them on broadcast news shows like Vice, and the reason behind that is mostly the huge demand for easy to digest content. And people are interested in so many global topics that they weren’t interested in 10 years ago.

So explainers changes to work with this trend and deliver quality content in a short time. In the example above, a little explainer focusing on oil productions around the world. Produced and presented by Mark Scala.

In some cases these explainers discuss breaking news and current affairs which make them very difficult to produce under a tight deadline. The explainer above was produced in 6 hours. Others like the one below by Lisa Desjardins explaining the debt ceiling took around 8 hours from shooting to a final export. Not mentioning the time took the producer to write the script.
